Bodyswap at the House on the Hill: Session 2

You awaken slowly, laying in the middle of a cold, hard stone floor … and realise that you have absolutely no idea where you are, or what in all the hells is wrong with your body.

Maybe you're suddenly bigger than you remember, or smaller. Maybe you've got more limbs! Less limbs! Sharper teeth? Weird, unfamiliar powers and magic to tap into, or perhaps no powers at all? Without a mirror, it's very difficult to tell exactly what — or perhaps, who? — you look like … but maybe whoever else is around you could help you figure that out.

Funfetti cake then.

[Sagely nods.]

....do you have a weird relationship with fun, where it consumes your dark thoughts?

I have been told that my sense of fun brings out my dark thoughts and I find that difficult to deny. But where the variety of cake is concerned, I have never heard of funfetti, nor of neapolitan.

Neapolitan is a mix of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate in divisible rows. Funfetti mixes in sprinkles with white cake for a festive look and add a little extra fun to a basic looking cake. One is for indulgences or prepared for indecisive people, the other is for a little extra pizzazz.

.....I spend way too much time with Pinkie Pie, I think.

She reads into people based on what cakes they consume?

Well. I would say that I like more than merely a little extra pizzazz. But knowing that is unlikely to matter as long as I avoid getting sucked into the mirror, yes?

Her name is Pinkie Pie.

It depends if it's a puzzle or not. I wonder why only you saw something. It looked like just a mirror when I came in.

Perhaps I would see it again if I exited and re-entered? [And moving to leave the room temporarily.]

[Stances where he can see the mirror and door, just to make sure she comes back, but trying to watch the mirror.]

[Afraid she's going to abandon you? Or that Something in the other room will keep her from returning?

[Whatever it is, you won't have to worry long. She's out and back in a matter of seconds, frowning and shaking her head.]

I saw nothing odd this time. I hope, if it is a puzzle, that we did not lose our only opportunity to solve it when the image vanished.
magicalgirladjacent: (Hmm)

[The latter. Bat might have come in.]

That would have been a harsh puzzle.

I guess we'll see what's in the crates and then see if we can figure out the mirror.

Perhaps there is cake in one of the crates. Though then would the image be a hint towards what to do, or a warning?

It could be. Emotions do like to play a part.
