Bodyswap at the House on the Hill: Session 2
You awaken slowly, laying in the middle of a cold, hard stone floor … and realise that you have absolutely no idea where you are, or what in all the hells is wrong with your body.
Maybe you're suddenly bigger than you remember, or smaller. Maybe you've got more limbs! Less limbs! Sharper teeth? Weird, unfamiliar powers and magic to tap into, or perhaps no powers at all? Without a mirror, it's very difficult to tell exactly what — or perhaps, who? — you look like … but maybe whoever else is around you could help you figure that out.

[And gonna try and.....condense it. Slowly. And kill this flame because COAL.]

[Thank god for fire shaping.]

As much as I'd like to rest, somehow... this doesn't feel like the place to do it.
[The sheer amount of coal is unsettling.]
Should we maybe take a look at one of the two doors or the elevator?

Probably.
But first.
[And then there is anger.]
I would like to establish I can literally set things that touch me on fire.
And your job was to make sure I didn't plummet to my death.
What were you thinking going on the offensive in a midair attack that early?!

...I know. I'm sorry, it's... it's all my fault...

You can't say 'we should all work together' and then you try to do everything. I have the most offensive power, so you should trust me to use that.
You were the one with versatility for support. To catch me if I fell or if I was caught, to save me then. If you get caught mid air, I can't save you as easily without risking you being set on fire which happened. And because you did that, I had no certainty what would happen if I DID fall.
We have to keep in mind our strengths right now if we want to get through this. To protect ourselves and the people we're in.
Understood?

It's not about in the way.
It's about trusting who you're working with.
Faito and I trusted you to save us if we fell. You have no idea how much that trust actually means, coming from us.
I'm asking you to afford the same. It might be you have to be front runner and we're support. But when we decide that, we need to stick to it or else we'll hurt each other.
This beating yourself up won't do us any good. Learning from what happened and being better is what we need.

It means a lot to me, it does. And I'll work work hard to make sure I prove that trust isn't misplaced.
I do trust you, both. And I appreciate everything you did.
I'm sorry I ended up making things more difficult-- but I won't make the same mistake again.

I'm comfortable with fire magic of this type, at the very least. And now we know you can do effective melee which is good when it's on the ground. Air means what your wings do is priority. When we're on the floor, then it's easier for us to cover each other and we can both fight. Maybe all three depending how comfortable Faito gets with her style.

[He nods. That's absolutely the right idea.]
Right. Understood!
We have a good team, I just need to utilize my part of that properly going forward.

Now let's see why we're in a coal room.

Hopefully there's just a cart through one of these doors or this place is just getting silly.
