Bodyswap at the House on the Hill: Session 2
You awaken slowly, laying in the middle of a cold, hard stone floor … and realise that you have absolutely no idea where you are, or what in all the hells is wrong with your body.
Maybe you're suddenly bigger than you remember, or smaller. Maybe you've got more limbs! Less limbs! Sharper teeth? Weird, unfamiliar powers and magic to tap into, or perhaps no powers at all? Without a mirror, it's very difficult to tell exactly what — or perhaps, who? — you look like … but maybe whoever else is around you could help you figure that out.

I think Felix is strong enough to carry one of us normally. Maybe not fly, but at least it'd slow the descent.

You cross and I do the fire thing and Felix does the support thing?
no subject
[And Felix.]
no subject
I suppose I should try using the bridge to cross, and trust your wings to catch me should it fail. Though I would also suggest trying the fireball distraction before any of us attempt to cross.

Get ready to cross either way.
[And then he's moving to the farthest possible point he can get from the door on the other side and the bridge in this room.]
[And will shoot a fireball across the chasm to see what happens.]

That appears to be a favorable sign.
[She moves to the start of the bridge.]
Are you both ready?
no subject
[Just gives a thumbs up, ready for more distraction.]
no subject
[On standby, prepared to go.]
no subject
[And she starts striding across the bridge, keeping a relatively fast pace (but not running and hopefully not too fast for a flier to catch up.]
[Roll is 10.]
no subject
But you make it safely to the other side.
no subject
Your turn, fire boy?
no subject
[Going to move towards the bridge. Watching the bats, are they still interested in that corner?]
no subject
For now.
no subject
[Deep breath.]
[And going to cross the bridge. Hopefully one less arm means lighter on this poor thing.]
[Rolled a 6]
no subject
It's fine.
Until one of the bats suddenly launches itself away from the wall, hurtling for your face with its gaping maw held wide.
no subject
[THROWING A LARGE FIREBALL IN THE BAT'S FACE.]
no subject
[He's going to take flight after his teammate, over the bridge quickly, in case the bridge should give.]
no subject
A few flaps to gain height, and it dives at "Mao" again, snapping at him with huge, slathering fangs. All the while, the bridge creaks, creaks, creaks ...
no subject
[He's going to see if he can't catch the bat in the air with his claws. Nothing personal bat.]
no subject
[HE DIDN'T WANT TO DO THIS-]
[Rushing across the bridge, and either he gets across or Felix catches him, either way, giant bat.]
[He focuses on the fire, he KNOWS fire, and he knows how to work it, and instead of a giant fireball, he throws up a wall of fire between him and the bat.]
[But that is also fire right by the bridge, but sometimes you gotta Take Risks.]
no subject
"Felix" catches the bat, and the bat, with a shrieking squawk of protest, gets him, latching onto his arm with its powerful jaws.
And the bridge? Well. The bridge catches fire, lighting up in a roar of flame that quickly attracts the attention of the other five bats. They take to the air with a chitter and a rush of wings, rapidly closing in on Felix.
