You are here to solve a murder mystery.

The mansion is large - you cannot traverse it easily and many rooms are sealed off. Instead, each character has been given a map of the mansion's layout. Accessible rooms are highlighted - characters will be transported magically to each room upon selecting an accessible room.

Rooms that are colored green are accessible. All other rooms are not.

This is an exploradora, meaning that you will be exploring rooms to pick up clues and solve the mystery. You may also interact with NPCs in order to gain clues as well. Should clues be discovered, the map will be updated and all participants in this room will be able to see that clue. You may also interact with other player characters if you like - group up and chat as you please!

Youji is your gamerunner. Please ping your runner on Discord when you want to move to different rooms, interact with the environment, and/or engage with an NPC.

[ You were here at the beginning of the game. There are a lot of nice decorations here, but it's a little daunting to think about now that there's murder. At least there are still snacks. . . ?

There are now two bodies in the foyer: an older man and an older woman, dressed in beautiful embroidered clothing. There are people around to weep and cry, but none are approachable. You may examine the body here.

[ A wonderfully ornate room, though simple for what's meant to be THE KING's and THE QUEEN's room for the duration of their stay in the manor if they were still alive to enjoy it. It has a beautiful view of the rose garden and the fountain. Curiously, there are only articles of men's clothing here.

THE SERVANT'S ROOM

[ It's a modest room, with very little here besides a small suitcase. In fact, it's hard to call it a "room" - it appears to just be a curtain that divides a bed from the rest of the Servant's Quarters (the rest of it is unavailable to you though). At least the rose garden's view and the fountain outside in the front of the house looks nice. ]

[ Hmm. Okay so there's one open suitcase on the bed but... did anyone bother to check under the bed, pillow, or sheets? Doing that. ]

THE SCULLERY

[ The dish pit. It's on the second floor . . . ? Servants bustle away, cleaning and cleaning the dishes and silverware and hustling to get the next meal prepared - the scent of fresh fish and meat is in the air here as it's being skinned and prepared to cook. Curious - there was a murder downstairs and no one's stopping their work? Well, maybe because the food will go bad if they don't start preparing it now. . . ?

Part of the wall seems to indent inwards - on this "shelf", servants will place freshly dried plates and bowls and etcetera. When the "shelf" has become full, they pull on the long rope that hangs from the ceiling - and the "shelf" descends, gears mechanically clicking as the pulley and lever system drops the clean plates down to the kitchen.

THE SERVANT is here, up to his arms in soapy bullshit. ]

[ It's pretty big - naturally a big manor comes with a big kitchen! But there's not a lot of work to be done, interestingly enough. It's almost like murders. . . stop people. . . from doing things. . . although there is also the clear sound of bustle upstairs, and occasionally a "shelf" of plates descend from an indentation in the wall for the sole servant to remove them from the pulley system and to their rightful place before pulling at the lever to send the empty "shelf" back up - gears mechanically click as the shelf moves.

There's a note on the counter, as well as a small sack. ]

GUEST BEDROOM [DETECTIVE'S]

[ Your room - well. "Your" room. It's strangely familiar, not quite nostalgic but definitely deja vu - like you've been here, just once before. Just like this. It's just a simple bed in a simple bedroom with a nice view of the rose garden and fountain in the front of the manor, though "simple" in this house also tends to mean there's some gold . . . somewhere in the room. The bed frame, etched into the walls and door, etcetera.

There are no clues here, but you can drop off clues that you've found if you'd like. ]

He finds a notebook and writes:

The King and Queen may have been poisoned. The Servant finished preparing the meal after the Cook became sick. I am unaware of the means of poison but it may have affected the servant and prince.

He leaves a copy of that and takes the notebook with him to the storage room.]

MASTER BEDROOM

[ It's pretty much a mansion in and of itself - the ceilings are high with their own chandelier with the bed's canopy almost reaching it anyway; the material is sheer so as to let the beauty of the crystals show, but . . . it must really be a pain to go to sleep here - just to turn the lights off, here. As if in an attempt to circumvent that, there are lighted jewels hanging in the corners of the room . . . ? That's a lot of light! Wow . . .

There are both men's and women's clothes here. The carpeted pattern is vivid and beautiful, blooming red flowers, but some reds are more splotchy than others. . .

Attached is a vibrant and clean bathroom, as ostentatious as the rest of this manor. At least they have good plumbing, since there’s a sink (with bar soap! fancy!), a toilet, and a tub present.

[ A pantry befitting a man who throws parties on the regular, there's a lot of food here. Quite a bit of it is canned, but there's a large section of flour-dusted floor and shelf that seems to be where the fresh food of the day is stored. There does not seem to be any meat or other refrigerable items, however.

[ Across from the Servant's Quarters, the storage room is tightly packed with lots of random junk - junk for the summer, junk for the winter, old junk, new junk. There's a. . . distressingly large number of items here that were meant for newborn infants. Rockers, baby clothes, and all the like. ]

LIBRARY

[ Unexpectedly even larger than the Master Bedroom, the library is a maze of books and bookshelves, literally speaking - the bookshelves seem to have been lined up in the room based on some esoteric sense of interior design rather than any practical purpose, and there are several dead ends to run into before you can get from one end of the room to the other. Careful - don't lose your way.

[ There's a sudden loud noise in the FOYER - the entry has opened up, and it looks like the military is here.

They have THE SERVANT, who is bound and gagged and looks more and more like he's suffering from illness.

"For the murder of THE KING and THE QUEEN, we are hereby putting everyone here under custody! Do not attempt to resist arrest!"

You are, abruptly, sent to ENDGAME. ]
