ORIGIN EXPLORADORA: SESSION 3

[Once more, a light appears in the distance. Your message this time?
Are you learning anything? This is your last chance.

Heroes that follow the call will find themselves at a small but very fancy house. Once upon a time, tropical flowers grew up the sides, beautifying the stone walls. Now it's just overgrown.

But the front door is wide open.]

LIVING ROOM

[personal profile] fairwind 2019-06-23 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[You enter the house and find yourselves in what was once an opulent living room. Now, it's full of plants, though the furniture has hadn't moved, merely gotten rather green.

All around this room, you'll find patches of a shimmering blue dust.

To the north, you can see the kitchen, separated only by a breakfast bar. To the east, you see the main hallway.]

[Your deertaur escort is here this time too, and he does at least look way less out of place surrounded by overgrowth.]

...[Honestly this looks kind of pretty, but the dust is...worrisome.

Also she's low-key hallucinating already so this is fun.]
Well, this is charming.
unrepairable: (dwtools has failed me)

[ are there no flowers left at all, though...?

... that dust looks unsafe to touch but Elaine would probably touch it. ]

What exactly are we supposed to be doing here? Information gathering?
desirestruth: (Mother--Mother)

Re: LIVING ROOM

[personal profile] desirestruth 2019-06-24 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
We're looking for information on what happened to this place, I'd guess. Proceed with caution, there were...dangerous creatures last time. Even the plants could be deadly.
unrepairable: (ooooh boy)

Last time? [ he slept in-- ]

... what happened, exactly?

[ leaning to smear some of the dust on her pinky, rubbing it between that finger and her thumb. she won't put it in her mouth this time but she's still interested in seeing if there's anything to recognize about the smell or texture ]

Re: LIVING ROOM

[personal profile] desirestruth 2019-06-24 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
...I slept through the first excursion, so I don't know for sure, but someone died in the vines, I believe.

The last one...there were tigers and venomous snakes, which we handled, but then...[Her voice doesn't waver, this is a battlefield and she is a war-born queen, but this still hurts to say...] There was...a plant, I think. It killed Crow. Tried to kill Lucien and Eliza. I couldn't--I'd used up all my strength fighting the tigers. Healing the wounded. I could not protect them.

Hazel--[Gesturing to the deertaur.] --Says the dead will be revived when this is over. And if they aren't, if we recover the bodies, I believe the train can revive them.
unrepairable: (maybe i can give up 3/4ths of the way)

[ well, nothing happens at least!

though her expression darkens some, a bit after touching it... ]

Whether I should do so, or should refrain... If our responsibility is to glean some greater understanding of this place, then there's little left to be done.

It's best if it's me.

[ that's. ............ that's a lot.

he doesn't know how to respond. obviously Naeva is crushed. ... he doesn't like the sound of any of that obviously, and hearing all of that fills him with unease and maybe even a little bit of excitement (he's still a sword boy after all) but he can't exactly bring himself to feel much more than vague regret about the fallen.

it's naeva he cares the most about. ]

.... I'm sorry. I'm sure you did everything that you could. ... in honesty, I'm just relieved that you and Elaine came out in one piece.

[ excuse you? ]

No. I have to disagree. You're my teammate, what am I to do if something happens to you?

It's one thing to risk your life in dire circumstances, but there's no point to thoughtlessly endangering yourself for information. Let someone else do it. [ someone else he doesn't care about ]

Well. We must still make it through this place...

[Sighing, and gesturing. She's not feeling feelings she is in command we're fine.] It's best to not split up, but if we must to cover all the ground, stay within shouting distance.
