ANGEL GAME 1: GROUP A

[You enter the tent to find yourself in what appears to be a conference room in the sky. The walls and ceiling consist of a glass dome, outside of which a raging thunderstorm can be seen. If you approach the wall, you’ll find the room seems to be floating. Down below is a forest, but it’s raining so hard that it’s impossible to make out any details.

The inside of the room has only a large, circular table. In the center is open space, and around the outer edge are high-backed chairs. In front of each chair is a paper with a copy of the rules -- when everyone sits, the game will begin.

Better. And see, here's where this is worthy of discussion, because that's not the definition I know. Monster is just a general term applied to magic-generating animals in my world, like dragons or rocs.

That seems unproductive. In mine, a dragon is a holy beast. Quite a different matter.

Nevertheless, assuming this shadowy beast we're being shown is our monster, then I don't believe it's any such lofty creature. It's simply an intruding danger to be eliminated.

He would be shadowy because the room is shadowy. Earlier today he was fog, and if there was a fire he'd be smoke.
