GROUP A (JASMINE+CLOVER)

[ You're in the conductor's cabin of the train, now! Yaaay! The sun rises, and you're revealed to be at a train stop in...a ruined, destroyed town. With burned thatched roof cottages and all. ]

Today’s story is just as gory as the last! Behold, behold, behold! The everyday trials of someone who’s responsibility is to deliver the unsaveable to safety! After all, even when the dead rise from the graves, the trains still have to run on time. Just like ours does! ~Heroes must always carry out their duty, though the world perish~

Remember, remember, remember! Whatever happens, happens because of you! And...

Buckle up!!!!!

[ The force of the train intercom exports glitter directly into your face. Yayyy. ]

[furrows his brows, eyes slipping shut as he folds his arms and continues, voice slow]

And I get that, but taking a middle-of-the-road approach feels like we aren't committing one way or the other.

[he pauses thoughtfully, searching for his words]

What will you do when inevitably we're asked to choose between our own numbers and the passengers outside?

That will depend upon what people wish for. But if I was pressed, I would probably have to protect those in front of me.

[. . . . . and Akira nods slowly at that, arms falling loosely to his sides]

All right.

I'll support the plan to save fifteen people.

[He scrubs at his face. Stress showing.]

I dislike these choices.

[a soft snort]

It was Randy-san who said most trials involve choices of morality.

Seems like a common theme.

So it does. But morals aren't so black and white. What might be "right" cannot be forced if it's dangerous and there are those among us scared of it. Is it "right" to force someone to face danger when it's not their wheelhouse? It's frustrating.

Of course it isn't.

[he does, at least, believe that]

. . . regardless of what stupid moral choices these trial runners attempt to throw at me, I know what I believe. And I won't compromise that for the sake of a trial.

Good. I will be relying on your conviction.

And I yours, Jusis-san.
