Okay, it gets complicated here...

He turns left, takes two steps,

Then a left turn, with one step, a right turn one step, a left turn one step, and a right turn.. followed by five steps forward.

Yeah, he thinks that's right.

Okay, two steps forward, a turn right for one step, then a turn left for two steps...

Next up is a right turn, two steps, another right turn, and then three steps.

One last right turn, for one step, then a left turn... And he waits.

Once Cat gives him the all-clear, he takes three steps forward and then turns left and steps forward to the exit.

[And as Klarion reaches the end, the darkness is lifted from his eyes and he can see stairs to head up top to Cat.]
