[The passageway is cold, but at least it's well lit. Albeit with flames of blue fire.]

[It goes down, down, down, until you reach the first part....]

[smiling; even if her partner can't see it]. All right. Turn right, hit the next note, then turn left and hit the next two.

Made it! Where to next?

Right, then two notes. Then turn right, but I can't see what's ahead for a bit. It looks like it should be five notes, but the first is blocked from my sight.

[He may have heard her mumbling before, but there wasn't any crying out so he's not going to address it.]

I'm here! Where to next?

[her voice is a bit more strained now]

Left, walk one note, then turn right and... hang on, there's another pedestal ahead. FOur notes to the pedestal and then another five past.

[He follows through with the step to the left, then three after he turns right, but he stops and calls out:]

Do you think I should... jump this time?

I couldn't say if it would work, but you are welcome to try.

I'm willing to try. [And so he will.]

[that didn't look good at all, and she can't do a thing about it except wait for him to get his bearings and see where he is.]

[Aaaaaand that was a mistake.]

[Klarion makes no qualms crying out in shock. He can't see what's happening, but that makes this all the more painful and terrifying. He wouldn't say he's afraid of icy cold, but wow, this hurts.]

Just keep moving. I imagine the path will continue to be warmer.

[Once he manages to get up, he follows along to the end of the path, rubbing his chilled hands against his body as much as he can to try and ward off the cold.]

... Ready.

We're about halfway through. Now turn left, go one note, then turn right. Another one note, then a left. Then walk three. Then wait; it's another one of those danger spots.

[He jumps when he hears her yell, and it doesn't take much thought to know she took her own shock of pain in some way. Normally, he could brush it off easily as not his problem but this was actually shaping up to be a fairly even pain-for-pain situation. He wasn't happy about it, but he felt a swell of something inside him.]

Cat, I think the panel ahead of me is safe now. How do we proceed from here?

[She's being strong. He's a big boy. He can be strong, too.]

All right. If you made the left turn, take two notes forward. Then there's another section of quick turns. Take one note between all of these: left, right, left, right. Then five notes forward and stop for another pedestal."

O-okay, I'm here. [Still chaffing his hands against his arms.] Is this the last one?

Second to last. There are five.

[The platform moves into place and he turns his attention up, even though he can't see.]

Cat? Are you all right?

[it's probably hard to keep her teeth from chattering]

Just cold. And some more bleeding, but it missed any major arteries. I'll heal quickly once we get out of this.

[That sounds bad...]

... Where do I go next, then?

Two in the same direction. Then turn right, head up one, turn left. THen head forward two.

Is that where the next one is?

[He's going to start to move, slowly...]

Not yet. Once you have that, turn right, head forward two, turn right again, head forward three, turn right again, head forward one, turn left. Then you reach the last one, so wait.

Okay, I made it.
