[she has a knife and a skirt, that is enough to get a primitive rope. time to see if she can tie it to the lever and pull the lever from the other side of the grate.]

[He watches, intent. Up until he realizes she's taking off some clothes, then he turns his back because, yeah, he's not sure he wants to see that even in a survival situation.]

[He calls back over his shoulder:] Just let me know when you're done!

[She can actually pull the lever through the gate.]

[Unfortunately it seems that isn't the only requirement to engage the mechanism to move the lift.]

[Cat is going to curse in a harsh language and retrieve her rope, and make sure she's fully dressed, minus a ragged hem.]

Okay, you can look. It didn't work.

[He doesn't look back until she says to, glancing to the elevator for a moment and realizing it wasn't going to be coming back. Oh well.]

It was a good idea, I'm sure!

[time to pick her way through the spikes]

[It takes some careful walking to avoid getting stabbed or slice, but with enough patience, easy enough to accomplish.]

[But after all that movement through the spikes, Cat can notice when she gets to the spots closest to the ledge, they seem to be...bigger. Not by a lot, there's still only room for one foot each.]

[But there's more room to move. To adjust and compensate if someone wanted to do something more dramatic than walk.]

[good, it will give her room to maneuver]

All right. I'm ready. There's a small amount of space here.

[arms up]

[She's closer than he expected, but that's a good thing. Whatever fears he had about not making it far enough were assuaged. Now he just has to trust she can actually catch him.]

Alright! I will jump then!

[He judges where she is, and takes a few steps back to give himself a little room to pick up some speed and give himself enough push to lunge to her general area.]

[For a pretty brave kid, he's also not stupid and generally not willing to risk possible injury like this. But when push comes to shove, he's not one to lie down and give up. Steeling himself, he starts to run and takes a leap right at the edge...!

[It's a tricky move, it's a risky move, but there is at least a little more space, enough to adjust, to not completely overbalance at a moment's notice.]

[But it's enough working together, and moving quick to not completely fall into the spikes. There is some harm, the tips digging into legs and thighs as they shift, and it hurts.]

[It hurts, but beyond the sting of an injury and a bit of blood, it's nothing debilitating. And Klarion is safely on the ground.]

[winces, but doesn't cry out]. All right. OUt of the spikes now.

[It's kind of exhilarating but in that terrifying way that means the boy didn't hate it, but would rather do it again with less potentially harrowing results.]

[Not one to dally in the face of danger, he picks his own way through the spikes, following the same trail he watched her take before. Only once there's room to breathe does he speak.]

That was amazing! You're so strong!

[stopping to use the strips she tore off to wrap any cuts]

[He sees the blood a freezes for a minute, not having realized she was actually hurt. But she, Cat, seems fine for the most part and so he pushes it out of his mind.]

It's nice to meet you, Cat. I'm, um, from Team Senna. And I don't know my name, but that's okay.

[He doesn't offer any suggestion for names. He honestly hasn't thought of any at this point.]
